FlowIn

How FlowIn works

Three steps, and only one of them involves an AI model.

From your words to the diagram

  1. 1You describe the processIn whatever words you would use out loud. No syntax, no shapes to pick, no boxes to drag. Messy is fine — messy is the point.
  2. 2A language model writes FlowScriptNot a picture — FlowScript, a short structured description of the graph: the steps, who owns each one, where it branches, where it loops back. This is the only step a large language model is involved in.
  3. 3FlowIn draws itOur own renderer turns that FlowScript into the diagram. It is ordinary code following fixed rules, so the same FlowScript always produces the same diagram, down to the pixel.

FlowScript • the little language in the middle

Between your words and the picture sits FlowScript, a small language of our own. The model’s whole job is to write it; the renderer’s whole job is to draw it. Neither does the other’s.

That seam is why FlowIn is dependable. The model produces text, never pixels, so an exported diagram matches the one on screen exactly, a shared link re-draws identically for whoever opens it, and the output can only ever be a flow chart — FlowScript has no way to describe anything else.

What we are built on

FlowIn is an independent product — an interface built on top of a third-party large language model. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the companies whose models we use.

We treat the specific model as an implementation detail and may change it as the technology improves — more than one provider is in use, and which one serves a given generation can depend on how busy we are. Our Privacy Policy sets out how your description is handled whichever it is, and we will tell you exactly whose model reads what you type if you ask us at the support address there.

What happens to what you type

Your description goes to the model provider to generate the flow, and nowhere else. FlowIn keeps no copy of it and never writes your words to its logs — the flow is drawn for you and the description is gone. Shared links carry the whole diagram inside the link itself, so even those never reach our servers. The only thing FlowIn records is that a purchase happened, which is set out in full in our Privacy Policy.

The full detail, including who else is involved and what rights you have, is in our Privacy Policy.

What's coming

Directions we’re working toward. These are intentions, not promises or dates:

  • More languages — FlowIn launches in English; Portuguese and Spanish are written and waiting.
  • Pricing and payment in more countries and currencies.
  • More themes and visual styles beyond today's light and dark.
  • Diagram customization — line thickness, corner style, vertical or horizontal orientation, and more.
